Cone crusher and jaw crusher as coarse crusher equipment both have a widely use in beneficiation plant, next, the advantage and disadvantage of cone crusher and jaw crusher are as followings.
Advantage and disadvantage of cone crusher:
Main advantage of cone crusher: big productivity/capacity, lower power consumption, relatively stable work, little vibration, big crushing ratio, uniform product size, any one party can give ore, and crowded feeding ore.
Main disadvantage of cone crusher: complex structure, the higher cost, higher machine body, inconvenient transportation, unfavorable to handle sticky ore, operation and maintenance are complex than jaw crusher
Advantage and disadvantage of jaw crusher:
Main advantage of jaw crusher: simple structure, low cost, inspect, repair, maintenance are convenient, reliable work, small machine body, easy device, for the ores with water and high viscosity also are not easy to jam.
Main disadvantage of jaw crusher: lower productivity, lower power consumption, bigger vibration, small crushing ratio, uneven particle size, can’t crowd feeding ore.
When choose the primary crushing equipment, according to different situation to carry on the comprehensive analysis. Generally, large beneficiation plant always use cone crusher as primary crushing machine. Medium and small beneficiation plant, especially, when process the sticky material, it is better to choose coarse jaw crusher.
